Kevin invited me to a flight we both didn’t do before; a round trip throughout the Netherlands, trying to visit as much as 7 different airports. Most of them we’ve been to before, with the exception of Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

It’s awesome to share my passion for aviation on social media, especially when other aviators show their appreciation of the work I’m doing. Even more so when one of those aviators invites you over, to join them on a flight!

On this episode, I joined Sergio Moya Boom on a flight in a Piper PA28;

I already did a lot of cool stuff on my channel, like visiting aircraft manufacturers and test fly their awesome airplanes. But never have I ever done a live interview on the radio, from inside the cockpit. Until now, that is! 🙂

This is the first episode of a three episode mini-series, telling the story of JMB Aircraft, the company behind the VL3.

Normally, I use my airplane for trips where the flight is the destination and not so much the destination itself. But since my airplane is a pretty fast vehicle, why not use it as a means of travel?

This weekend off, to the beautiful province of Zeeland, was not only a very practical test, but also an awesome mini vacation!

On a beautiful Saturday morning, Kevin and I chose a destination that isn’t very familiar to General Aviation: Den Helder Airport a.k.a. Maritime Air Base De Kooy.

Up until now, we only knew this airport as a Control Zone (CTR) on a chart. It turned out to be an awesome place to fly to!

Every time I go flying, I ask someone to be my co-pilot or passenger. I love to share my passion for aviation and what better way to do that from inside a cockpit, right?

This time I asked longtime supporter Cindy to tag along, on a flight to Texel International Airport. Check out our flight;

Servicing the high voltage side of the ignition system and overhauling the carburetors, didn’t solve the engine vibration at low idle of my Rotax 912 ULS. The next thing I wanted to rule out, was the low voltage side of the ignition system; the somewhat notorious ignition modules.
